About the Instructor
Elizabeth Dallas is an artist and educator living and working in Los Angeles. She grew up with her grandparents in Northeast Ohio where she gained appreciation for slow activities like drawing and stitching. As a first generation college student, she earned her BFA in printmaking from Kent State University and later her MS degree in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Akron. Her preferred mediums are embroidering, quilting, comics/zines, and papier-mâché sculpture. Through her practice she reflects on her own lived experiences as a young woman with hopes that others will find value in their own voices as well. She is a member of the Society for Embroidered Work, a regular illustration contributor for Razorcake zine, and a volunteer for American Cinematheque. Find her on Instagram.
Masks are strongly recommended indoors for everyone. Learn more about all of the museum's health and safety protocols.
