Spend your Saturday evenings with world-renowned artists performing everything from Indigenous music to the latest sounds from Argentina, Brazil, Cuba, Mexico, Peru, and Los Angeles! These free concerts are presented Saturday evenings from Memorial Day weekend in May to Labor Day weekend in September.
This week, join us for a concert with Vox Bohemia.
Led by singer, guitarist, songwriter, and educator Mary Alforo, Vox Bohemia is dedicated to diverse musical styles of the Americas including boleros, rancheras, and American roots music. Over the course of her career, she has performed with trío romántico ensembles, various mariachi groups, and other ranchera groups throughout the U.S. and has recorded with La Santa Cecilia, Gaby Moreno, and José Luis Orozco. Alfaro has also worked on projects to promote and preserve Latinx musical traditions at Smithsonian Folkways Recordings, the Library of Congress Archive of Folk Culture, and LA Plaza de Cultura y Artes.
