This program will take place outdoors on LACMA's campus, Monday–Friday, July 17–21.
About the Instructor
Bianca Argueta (she/her) is a Salvadoran-descendant artist who resides in Los Angeles. Argueta received her Painting and Drawing BFA from Cal State Long Beach. Her work practice investigates inner city life and intergenerational trauma caused by war and a dysfunctional home. In recent work, Argueta samples images from different sources. These images recollect memories from childhood that share space with cartoon characters. Her artistic influences are Jean Michel Basquiat, Jenny Saville, and Kerry James Marshall.
