Shadowboxing Class at LACMA

  • Date:
  • Time: 9 AM – 10 AM
  • Location: David Geffen Galleries
  • Price: $12, Members: $10

In celebration of LACMA's reinstallation of George Bellows’s A Stag at Sharkey’s, Dr. Katie Singer will lead a workshop of fundamental boxing techniques. You'll learn stance, jab, cross, and footwork, and engage in shadowboxing exercises designed to explore movement, rhythm, and athletic form. No sparring will be involved—just safe, guided practice.

Participants are encouraged to wear comfortable clothing and stable, closed-toe athletic shoes suitable for light movement and exercise. Please note that water and other beverages are not permitted in the galleries.

This program is part of Third Weekends at LACMA, a monthly line-up of free and ticketed programs inspired by our collection and special exhibitions.

Go Metro. The D Line now brings you directly to LACMA (Wilshire/Fairfax Station). Plan your trip at Metro.net.
