Jazz at LACMA: Theo Saunders Septet

Celebrate L.A.'s finest jazz musicians with Jazz at LACMA, presented Friday evenings from May through October. This week, join us for a concert with the Theo Saunders Septet. 

Pianist, keyboardist, composer, and arranger Theo Saunders has been on the international jazz scene for more than 55 years and performed and recorded with a dizzying array of jazz artists from Slam Stewart to Carla Bley. His career also includes extensive work in the musical spheres of Latin jazz, R&B, funk, musical theater, and opera. The septet is comprised of Theo Saunders (piano),Jacob Scesney (sax and flute), Yakiv Tsvietinskyi (trumpet and flugelhorn), Nate Gilbreath (trombone), Jake Chapman (vibraphone), Chris Colangelo (bass), and Marvin "Smitty" Smith (drums).
