Minor Feelings (working title)
Minor Feelings (working title)
Minor Feelings (working title) features artworks by 23 contemporary artists of Korean descent based in cities around the world. With 75 works in diverse media, the exhibition, whose title takes inspiration from Cathy Park Hong’s book Minor Feelings: An Asian American Reckoning (2020), highlights artistic practices that confront and subvert conventional interpretations of ethnicity, nationality, and culture. Exploring how experiences of migration, displacement, and kinship inform and shape artistic expression, Minor Feelings continues LACMA’s commitment to showcasing artists of various cultures and diasporas.
