Discover LACMA as a great intergenerational family destination. Grab your kids, friends, and family to make, look, and talk about art at Andell Family Sundays, collaborate and create during our daily in-gallery pop-up art activities, join artist-led classes, and more! L.A. County children are invited to become members of NexGenLA—the museum's free and award-winning youth membership!
At LACMA we welcome all self-defined manifestations of family. Family is family—regardless of biology, residence, gender, or marital status.

Join us for Pop-up Art-making in the Galleries!
Same radically friendly staff. Same creative spirit. Same sense of community. All the wonderful things you’ve loved about the Boone Children’s Gallery in the past will now be popping up in the art galleries. The pop-ups will offer new ideas for inspiration, a fresh menu of art activities, and even high chairs for very young artists. No prior art-making experience is necessary.
Simply stop by the Family Welcome Table on the Smidt Welcome Plaza each time you visit to find out where we are. Then, hop on over to our art-making pop-ups!
Story Time in the Galleries
Join Education staff as they read engaging stories about colors, art, and adventure tailored to very young children. Every Friday at 2 pm.
The Boone Children's Gallery is made possible in part by the MaryLou and George Boone Children's Gallery Endowment Fund.
Teens ages 13 and over can come on their own or with their friends and family to discover the museum as a creative and social space. Encounter new art, be inspired to take photos, and make friends in an art class. All teens are invited to become members of NexGenLA—the museum's free and award-winning youth membership!
