At LACMA we welcome all self-defined manifestations of family. Family is family—regardless of biology, residence, gender, or marital status.
Make, look, and talk about art at Andell Family Sundays! This weekly family event features artist-led workshops and friendly bilingual gallery tours and activities thematically based on exhibitions and LACMA’s permanent collection. Create memories together and have fun!

Drop-in Art Making
Come with your friends and family to relax, create, and make new friends! Work at communal tables in this fun, family-friendly place. Helpful staff introduce materials and techniques, offer tips, and even provide high chairs for very young artists. No prior art-making experience is necessary. Located behind the Hammer Building.

Story Time in the Galleries
Join Boone Children’s Gallery staff as they read engaging stories about colors, art, and adventure tailored to very young children. Every Friday at 2 pm in the Korean art galleries.

Teens ages 13 and over can come on their own or with their friends and family to discover the museum as a creative and social space.
