Family Art-Making Workshop: Our Blooming Community

Join a free, drop-in intergenerational art workshops inspired by the exhibition From MacArthur Park, with Love, featuring work by Charles White Visual Arts LACMA Magnet student artists. Admission is free and no advance ticket required. All ages are welcome.

At this workshop, you'll create vibrant 3D paper sculptures inspired by flowers and the natural environment in your community and learn simple construction techniques to design flowers, plants, or organic forms with colored construction paper. Your creations will become a symbolic expression of what helps a community grow—things like care, resilience, creativity, and shared experiences.

Street parking is available along with validated free parking in the parking structure behind the Charles White Elementary School at 611 S. Carondelet St., Los Angeles, CA 90057. Please present your parking ticket to LACMA security staff at the gallery for validation.
