Tune in to a sonically inspired series of films documenting the sounds, rhythms, and vibrations that move us to action and change the world, featuring Songs from the Hole and Tony Williams in Africa—films made by, about, and through music with screenings accompanied by live performances and conversations.

The natural environment holds historical and spiritual significance. LACMA educator Alicia Vogl Sáenz will lead slow looking and meditative exercises in conjunction with the exhibition Grounded. No meditation experience necessary; instruction will be given.
For National Grief Awareness Day, Brian Lee of Open Market and Koreatown Wine Club and archivist Rosie Grant will delve into the linked history of alcoholic spirits and the commemoration of the dead. Guests will partake in a guided wine and soju tasting while also learning about some of the drinking vessels in LACMA’s permanent collection.

Realms of the Dharma: Buddhist Art Across Asia highlights masterpieces of pan-Asian Buddhist art created across centuries. At this walkthrough, LACMA conservator Soko Furuhata and curator Stephen Little will discuss approaches to preserving and displaying objects from the museum’s collection on view in the exhibition.
LACMA curators will join Los Angeles–based artist Frances Stark for a special conversation as part of the Rifkind Center’s Artist Selects series. Stark will discuss her process for selecting works from the Center's extensive collection for the gallery display, assembled to create a visual essay on love and war.
At this conversation about art, identity, and legacy, collector Eileen Harris Norton, artist Adia Millett, and writer-curator Taylor Renee Aldridge will discuss how collecting supports women artists of color and how personal vision can influence culture and community.
