Make music out of seashells. This workshop includes a brief tour of the exhibition City and Cosmos: The Arts of Teotihuacan—paying special attention to the rare conch shells on display— and will include a discussion of how different instruments were created in ancient Mexico without the use of metal or electrical tools. Musician and educator Lazaro Arvizu will then lead participants in a jam session.

This event has limited capacity and is for LACMA Local members only.

Invitations delivered via e-mail. Please contact with any questions.
