Transcript: Offline-Online Convergences

Conceptual artist Aram Bartholl examines the relationship between the digital and physical worlds with his installations, performances, and sculptures. In conversation with curator Kathy Rae Huffman, Bartholl discusses the convergence of the physical and virtual with respect to urban space in his work and considers how digital landmarks and customs translate to urban culture.

Aram Barholl is currently visiting faculty at the UCLA Design Media Arts program. Kathy Rae Huffman is a curator and writer, active in the field of media art since the early 1980s in Europe and the U.S. She has held curatorial positions at Long Beach Museum of Art and ICA Boston, and has programmed for numerous electronic arts festivals.
