Art & Meditation

The intricate patterns and striking imagery of block printing in the exhibition Deep Cuts: Block Printing Across Cultures provide an ideal focal point for meditation and contemplation. At this Art & Meditation session, manager of family programs at LACMA, poet, and meditation instructor Alicia Vogl Sáenz will lead a slow art-looking exercise and conversation in conjunction with the exhibition followed by meditation. No meditation experience necessary; instruction will be given.

BLKNWS: Terms & Conditions with Kahlil Joseph and Special Guests

Conceived as a cinematic experience that mirrors the sonic textures of a record album, BLKNWS: Terms & Conditions (2025) is a genre-bending documentary adapted from Kahlil Joseph’s renowned video art installation. The film’s unique soundscape is mastered in stereo, with featured guest artists interwoven across its 21 tracks, each adding their distinct perspective.

Following the screening, a panel including Joseph and collaborators will discuss the filmmaking process and editorial power of BLKNWS.

Fioretta, released through 7th Art, explores the origins of Viennese composer Arnold Schoenberg’s family through the eyes of his grandson, lawyer and genealogist E. Randol Schoenberg.
