Evenings for Educators: Block Printing Across Cultures

Educators are invited to explore the art of block printing—the world's oldest and most versatile method of making multiple images—at the exhibition Deep Cuts: Block Printing Across Cultures, in which more than 150 works from Asia, Europe, and the Americas offer intricate patterns and striking imagery that reveal block printing’s global history.

Guests will enjoy a curator-led presentation, hands-on art-making workshops, and dinner. Dinner and parking is included with admission.

Evenings for Educators: Collecting Impressionism at LACMA

Educators, get a special look at Collecting Impressionism at LACMA, which highlights LACMA’s extensive collection of Impressionist art through paintings, sculptures, and drawings, as well as lesser-known media, such as prints, photographs, decorative arts, and clothing. The exhibition examines Impressionism’s prominent place in American art museum collections and offers a surprising narrative about the people and artists who have shaped LACMA.

Educator Speaker Series: Co-Creating Knowledge

Led by ethnic studies educator Navia Itzia, Co-Creating Knowledge: Centering Youth Voices in Ethnic Studies is a workshop that explores how slowing learning down and centering student voices can transform classrooms into ecosystems of care and creativity. Drawing from Tara Yosso’s concept of Community Cultural Wealth and the Slow Money movement, educators will learn practices to recognize and nurture each learner’s gifts, cultivating belonging and shared purpose in both classroom and community spaces through the lens of Ethnic Studies.

The Genesis Talks: Mark Bradford, Darren Walker and Michael Govan

The Genesis Talks bring LACMA's CEO and Wallis Annenberg Director Michael Govan together with some of the most influential artists, architects, and cultural leaders shaping how we see and experience art today. Each conversation sparks bold ideas, explores pressing questions, and connects LACMA's encyclopedic collection to the evolving role of museums in the 21st century.
