2025 Emmy Award®–Contender Series—#1 Happy Family USA and Post Screening Conversation

LACMA members are invited to join FILM at LACMA for a special screening of #1 Happy Family USA followed by a conversation with co-creator, co-showrunner, executive producer, writer, and featured actor Ramy Youssef; co-creator, co-showrunner, executive producer, and writer Pam Brady; and executive producer and art director Mona Chalabi. Moderated by Judd Apatow. 

#1 Happy Family USA is an adult-animated series following the maniacally upbeat Husseins—the most patriotic, most peaceful, and most definitely-not-suspicious Muslim family in post-9/11 "Amreeka." With satire and absurdity, it redefines finding humor in hardship as they navigate the early 2000s under the watchful eyes of their terrified neighbors.
