Celebrate L.A.'s finest jazz musicians with Jazz at LACMA, presented Friday evenings from May through October.
This week, join us for a concert with the Lao Tizer Band, in support of their new release AMPLIFY. Joining pianist, keyboardist, bandleader, and former “Best New Jazz Artist” nominee Lao Tizer are platinum-selling American Idol vocalist Elliott Yamin, GRAMMY-winning drum phenom Tony Austin (Kamasi Washington), GRAMMY-winning percussion legend Munyungo Jackson (Miles Davis, Stevie Wonder), sax and flute wunderkind Danny Janklow (MONKestra, Shelea), and 2022 Rolling Stone “Bassist of the Year” nominee Anthony Crawford (Jeff Lorber, Erykah Badu). This all-star cast of musicians will take you on a high-energy musical ride through a variety of flavors.
