Poetry Workshop: Grounded

Follow your poetic instincts and get inspired by the history, popular culture, and everyday moments in the exhibition Grounded. At this two-hour poetry workshop for adults, teaching artist Brendan Constantine will guide you through creative writing exercises to craft your own poems inspired by the work on view in the galleries. No experience needed; all materials will be provided.
Brendan Constantine is a poet based in Los Angeles. His work has appeared in standards including Poetry, The Nation, Best American Poetry, and Poem A Day and his fifth collection, The Opposites Game, has just been released by Red Hen Press. Constantine has presented his work to audiences throughout the US and Europe and has appeared on NPR’s All Things Considered, TED-Ed, and more. He currently teaches at the Windward School, LACMA, and the Midnight Mission.
Full refunds will only be granted if the art class is canceled by LACMA. Please notify us immediately if a student is unable to attend so that another student on our waiting list can attend class. A refund equal to half of tuition paid will be granted for cancellations made three weeks before class start date.
