Live Art: Chalk Drawings inspired by Village Square

Continuing the celebration of art and community found in the exhibition Village Square: Gifts of Modern Art from the Pearlman Collection to the Brooklyn Museum, LACMA, and MoMA, LACMA presents chalk artist as they recreate a version of Edouard Manet's Young Woman in a Round Hat (ca. 1877-1879) outdoors on LACMA campus. The artwork will be created live over multiple days, and guests are welcome to drop in and witness the work in progress as a 19th-century portrait takes new form alongside family and friends, old and new.
This exhibition was co-organized by the Los Angeles County Museum of Art and the Brooklyn Museum.
