Spend your Saturday evenings with world-renowned artists performing everything from Indigenous music to the latest sounds from Argentina, Brazil, Cuba, Mexico, Peru, and Los Angeles! These free concerts are presented Saturday evenings from Memorial Day weekend in May to Labor Day weekend in September. This week, join us for a concert with SitaroSon.
SitaraSon brings a bright new concept to the Cuban style of son music. The Los Angeles–based group plays a variety of Cuban dance music with influences from Afro-Cuban folklore and features Grammy Award–winning singer/drummer “El Maestro” Lázaro Galarraga, who began touring the world as a young man singing, dancing, and drumming for the distinguished group Conjunto Folkorico Nacional de Cuba.
