You are standing in the BP Grand Entrance. Here, beneath a roof topped with solar panels capable of generating more than 100,000 watts of electricity, you'll find the museum's main entrance, orientation space, and public art plaza. While you are on campus today, you can use this app to find out more about highlights from our extensive collection of art ranging from ancient times to the present. Visiting LACMA with your family today? Join us in the Boone Children's Gallery for Story Time today at 2 pm, to experiment with brush painting and hear ancient Chinese and Korean folk tales.
Directions: The Boone Children's Gallery is inside the Korean Art galleries. To get there, look for the glass doors just to the right of the Ticket Office on the Los Angeles Times Central Court. Pass through the doors and make a right.
 

The second floor of the Ahmanson Building where you are now features our extraordinary collection of modern art, including works by Picasso, Matisse, Magritte, and Giacometti.
Look for the Picasso gallery at the west end of the building, furthest from the stairs. The 23 works by Picasso in LACMA's collection include the masterpiece Weeping Woman with Handkerchief.

2 pm: Art making in the Boone Children's Gallery with artist Patty Hernandez. The gallery is easily accessible through the doorway to the Korean galleries in the nearby Hammer building.
3 pm: Join docent Erin Sorensen for a 30-minute tour of highlights of the Latin American art collection. Learn about the origins of baseball, ancient techniques for making hot chocolate, and what it was like to live in an Aztec mega-city.
