The Genesis Talks brings LACMA's CEO and Wallis Annenberg Director Michael Govan together with some of the most influential artists, architects, and cultural leaders shaping how we see and experience art today. Each conversation sparks bold ideas, explores pressing questions, and connects LACMA's encyclopedic collection to the evolving role of museums in the 21st century.
This edition of The Genesis Talks brings together the Studio Museum in Harlem director and chief curator Thelma Golden and Michael Govan, who will discuss curatorial vision, institutional leadership, and the role of museums in shaping cultural narratives, exploring how exhibitions, institutions, and public engagement can respond to the urgencies of our time.
